The settler must clear five acres upon each hundred granted to him, open a road in front of his lot, and build a loghouse of certain dimensions. These settling duties, if performed within eighteen months after location ticket has been issued entitle the emigrant to a deed from the Government which makes the lot his forever.

I wish to contract with some person or persons to do the settling duties for me in Lot No 32 in the first concession of Garrafraza, containing 200 acres. WM.L.MACKENZIE.
